| Homes4NC was established to promote safe, decent and affordable housing
for all North Carolinians.
We do this by
raising funds, and in
conjunction with local REALTOR® associations, making
matching grants
to nonprofit and public agencies that help low- to moderate-income families with
their housing needs. We also provide
disaster relief and educational programs that enhance housing opportunities.
Since our inception in 2004,
we have made
grants totaling more than $195,000 to 51 housing organizations across the state.
When you consider that local REALTOR® associations provided
matching funds, NC REALTORS®
have had an impact of nearly
$400,000 in five years!
How it Works
To be eligible
for funding, organizations must be based in North Carolina with a 501(c)(3) status or be a public agency.
The purpose of the grant must be congruent
with our mission, which is to provide safe, decent and affordable housing
(both permanent and temporary), to provide emergency housing assistance and
to provide education on housing issues. |
Helping Hands Deliver a Dream
What started out as a dream six
years ago for
Juan and Magdalena Quintero became a reality
in May as the Quintero's celebrate their new home made possible through the
Haywood Habitat for Humanity and grants from Homes4NC
and the Haywood County Board of REALTORS. |
