If you are a housing professional and want to put your experience and interest to work for the good of your industry and your community, then you’ll want to consider serving as a Homes4NC volunteer.
Board of Directors
The Homes4NC Board of Directors is comprised of 17 voting members, including 8 REALTORS, 2 REALTOR Association Executives, 3 members from housing-related industries, 3 At-Large members and the Treasurer of the NC Association of REALTORS (NCAR).
Directors are appointed in late fall by the NCAR Leadership Team for terms beginning on January 1 of the following year.
Director positions carry a three-year term and each year 5 or 6 positions become available. Anyone interested in serving on the Board of Directors must submit an application noting their qualifications.
Committee Member
Do you have an interest or expertise in putting on special events? Perhaps you'd like to help educate others about housing affordability issues. When you offer to serve on a Homes4NC committee, you are helping your community and your industry while expanding your network with like-minded professionals.
Homes4NC has a variety of committees including:
| • | Awards/Recognition: Plan, implement and promote an awards/recognition program. | | • | Events: Plan, implement and promote local/statewide fundraising initiatives and events. | | • | Grants: Establish funding guidelines, review and recommend grant awards. | | • | Programs: Develop and monitor programs designed to increase awareness of and access to affordable housing, including education and direct service programs. |
